Chapter 9: Essential Skills and Co-operative Education at Red River College

Located in Winnipeg, Red River College is Manitoba’s largest institute of Applied Learning. With more than 32,000 enrolment, more than 110 full-time programs, Red River Colleges has eight campuses in Manitoba.

The College has a 96.1% graduate employment rate and a 92.6% graduate satisfaction rate.

Joan Rew is a Co-operative Education Coordinator in the School of Business and Applied Arts at Red River College in Winnipeg.  Joan has developed an Essential Skills evaluation instrument for employers to use with the co-operative education students they hire.
